Full-Day West Coast Tour from Greymouth
West Coast Scenic Taste Tour is a FULL DAY TOUR that departs from Greymouth and features a diverse range of memorable experiences throughout the West Coast of New Zealand. Punakaiki (Pancake Rocks), Seal Colony, Buller Gorge, tasty kiwi style lunch included - gf and vegan options available, Brewery (Tuesday to Saturday) and Distillery visit, finishing with a walk around the Brunner Mine Memorial Scenic Reserve and Historic Site.
By prior arrangement (email, text or phone us to confirm availability) we offer a Half Day Tour, when not doing the full day tour (half day tour is $175pp). Starting in Greymouth we visit
Pancake Rocks and the Seal Colony at Tauranga Bay
FULL DAY TOUR IS CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY, EASTER FRIDAY, EASTER SUNDAY AND ANZAC DAY BUT HALF DAY IS AVAILABLE.

Ready to start your adventure?
8:30 - 9.10 AM - Meet atGreymouth Town Square.
9:10 AM to 10:00am - Punakaiki – Pancake Rocks and blowholes.
10:00am to 12:00pm - Continue along the Coast Road to Tauranga Bay Seal Colony.
12:00 PM to 1.30pm - Lunch at PR's Cafe or The West Coast Pie Company Cafe. A visit to the Shortjaw brewery after lunch Wednesday to Saturdays only, who offer tastings.
1:30 PM to 2:45pm - We drive through the mighty Buller Gorge to Reefton, with stops for photo opportunities.
3:15pm - Reefton Distillery, famous for their award winning gins, or wander round the charming township.
3:45 to 5:30pm
Takes us through the farmland of the Grey Valley with a bush walk at an Historic area (time permitting) and back to Greymouth where our tour ends at the Town Square.

Was a great day tour. It was well paced with plenty of time to see the all the sights. The scenery throughout the day was amazing and I loved the pancake rocks and seal colony. The West Coast Pies were yummy and although I am not a beer connoisseur I loved going to the Short Jaw Brewery and hearing how all the different beers were made. Little biddies gin was amazing and my bottle will last ages as it won't be shared !! Jackie had so much knowledge of the history of the area and kept us entertained all day. I will be recommending this tour to everyone.

Brilliant day. We saw so much on this tour. Jackie, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area, the culture and no matter what we asked, she was well informed. From the Tauranya Bay seal colony, where we saw so many seals to pies washed down with beer at the Shortjaw Brewery, it was a very full day. The walks were short and easy and we got some great photo opportunities at various viewpoints. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this excellent tour. You can see some of the best part of the west coast and enjoy a full day of stunning landscapes, nice people and delicious food and a bit of gin.

I was out of season and therefore the only guest on the tour. But it was the best experience for me during my New Zealand trip so far! So many indescribably beautiful places, very good food and a really good beer as well as gin tasting. And the tour guide can tell you an incredible amount about the history, fauna and flora as well as current local and New Zealand-related developments. Book this tour!
